Diogenes in cooperation with the Cyprus Business Incubator Association and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Helix Incubator, Ermis Research & Incubator Center, and Athena High Technology Incubator, is organizing a conference on Business Incubation: Economic Development Driver of the Cyprus Economy. Prospects, Achievements, the Next Day to celebrate the 1st Global Business Incubation Day, joining the celebrations that will be held in 53 countries with over 1.500 incubators participating.
The Conference will take place at the University of Cyprus, Main Campus, An. Leventis Building (B108).
The goals of the Conference are to:
- Inform on the commercialization prospects of R&D results by the creation of enterprises through business incubators, the new University - Industry Colloboration Office and the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition
- Comprehensively explore business incubation in Cyprus with the involved stakeholders (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Business Incubators, Incubatee Companies)
- Present the philosophy of the new business incubation framework program prepared by the Research Promotion Foundation, the new Incubation Monitoring Authority
- Present the Greek example of 3rd Generation Business Incubators (incubation and funding) and the European dimension and trends in startup funding
During the Conference an exhibition of the 36 companies that were created through the Business Incubation Program in Cyprus will take place.
